A Personal Approach to Teaching and Advocacy

I believe effective learning starts with understanding the individual student. Every learner has a different pace, different strengths, and different challenges. My role is to create a structured, supportive environment where progress feels steady and achievable.

I believe that effective advocacy helps parents understand their child's needs and effectively communicate their expectations, while holding schools accountable for meeting the needs of the child

"The question was never whether your child is learning.

The question is whether anyone is listening the right way to see it."

Putting 30 Years of Experience to Work for Your Child

Partner, Advocate, Coach, Mentor, Tutor

I have sat in over a thousand IEP/504 meetings — many of them complex, contentious, and high-stakes. I know how schools think and where families get lost. I know how to help parents excercise their rights and how to get schools to put student needs first.

"Would this be good enough for my own child? If not, it's not good enough for yours." This question has guided every decision in my 30+ years working in special education — and it still does.

Every child can learn. More than that — every child does learn. My commitment is to work alongside families to connect each child's natural ability to the academic demands the school system places on them.
